LUCK was the conceptual core of WORK, LUCK, PLAY — a cross-media artwork presented at Art Basel Hong Kong in March 2026. A set of six dice with all variance removed: every face shows a single number. Roll the one and you get one. Roll the six and you get six. Every time. Forever. Not dice anymore, but certainty engines disguised as probability tools.

The sculpture takes a system built to produce uncertainty and reorganises it into fixed material form — chance translated into matter. Each of the 80 sets is paired with a unique digital twin: an 8×10 grid of ASCII dice summing to the edition number, arranged by Ethereum block hashes. Now available as a signed collectible.

Jack Butcher is a Nashville-based artist and founder of Visualize Value. After a decade in advertising, he built a studio vocabulary that compresses complex ideas into minimal forms: black-and-white schematics, modular grids, and iterative series that track how images accrue meaning in public. Visualize Value, launched in 2019, became the armature for that approach.
