PLAY was the participatory dimension of WORK, LUCK, PLAY — a cross-media artwork presented at Art Basel Hong Kong in March 2026. Across five days, these dice moved between strangers, turned an art fair into a game, and produced 100,000 conversations.
PLAY brought WORK and LUCK to life, turning the ideas into something you participate in rather than observe and this is the object that was at the centre of it. Now available as a signed collectible.
About the artist
Jack Butcher
Jack Butcher is a Nashville-based artist and founder of Visualize Value. After a decade in advertising, he built a studio vocabulary that compresses complex ideas into minimal forms: black-and-white schematics, modular grids, and iterative series that track how images accrue meaning in public. Visualize Value, launched in 2019, became the armature for that approach.
