The old ones gathered again, as they had for centuries, while something ancient watched from the shadows. i wanted to capture that precise moment when ritual becomes reality - when the membrane between worlds grows thin enough to tear. the flames weren't meant to warm, but to open doors. each cloaked figure carried centuries of forbidden knowledge beneath their robes, yet they seemed so small against the vastness of what lurked in the treeline. this piece emerged from memories of scandinavian folklore mixed with the quiet dread of theodor kittelsen's paintings. the beast's eyes burned like dying stars, patient and hungry for whatever would emerge from the fire..
