The rabbit emerged from childhood terrors, standing sentinel in that liminal space between comfort and cosmic dread. watching over small stuffed companions who huddle on pristine sheets, its presence both shields and threatens. my mind wandered to the way japanese yokai stories twist protective figures into something other - how the boundaries between guardian and monster blur in the deep hours of night. the glowing egg-lamp feels like a fragile sun, holding back the darkness that pools around this strange domesticity. this piece came from memories of my own bedroom fears, reimagined through the lens of cosmic horror where safety itself becomes suspect..
