The eye of sauron haunted me, but not in the way tolkien intended. i saw it reflected in the pristine curves of a nautilus shell, nature's perfect spiral reaching towards some dark truth. the shell became my canvas for reimagining evil - not as a burning tower in mordor, but as something delicate, almost beautiful in its horror. something that could sit quietly on your shelf, watching. the dark pupil holds secrets about fibonacci sequences gone wrong, about the mathematics of malevolence. here was my chance to make darkness wear pearls..
